U njoj nestaju svi naši snovi i iluzije, sav naš uzaludan napor postajanja dru- gim i drukčijim. Ali život time gubi „smisao“ i besmrtnost stvari postaje mukotrpnom agonijom. Abstract The author of the article analyzes the reflections of the late Derrida with regard to the question about the animal. Subversion of order concerning the relations between animals and humans dramatically changed through the 20 th century with Lacan’s attempt to overcome the subject of modern era and the axiom of animal rationale brought to the wall of metaphysics. In extensive analysis of Derrida’s critique of Heidegger and anthropocentrism particularly, which has been included in humanities as paradigm that animals are considered as object and thing, neglec- ting irreducible ethical and ontological encounters, the author comes to the conclusion that it should be necessary to establishe a completely new understanding of the life in general starting from the horizontality of species. Reconsideration the complex animal-human-machine at the time of technosphere strongly required the inversion of the ethical horizon of living in new community to come. The entire metaphysics dissapeared with its concepts, categories, religious and scientific approaches to the Other. The cat we used here thanks to Derrida’s reflections has its contingent„nature“ in relationship to the mystery of the world as historical and cultural shame because in the encounter of naked body and regard into it has been ocurred the new con- dition of possibility some quite different relationship between related entities. A philosophical question of ethical relationship between humans and animals requires the reversal of relations in general, and not just the subject in the network of meaning.
