TEA BENČIĆ RIMAY born in Sisak (1956). Faculty of Philosophy, Yugoslavian Languages and Literatures (Croatian Language and Literature) and Comparative Literature, University of Zagreb (1980). Master’s degree in 1987 – title of the thesis: Semantics and the sources of philosophical dimension in the poetry by Slavko Mihalić. PhD in 1998 – thesis: Prose poetry. Work experience: April 1999-2004 senior lecturer for Croatian language courses at Teacher Training College in Petrinja (including courses for students majoring in Croatian Language and Literature – Introduction to Literature, History of Literature, Theory of Language). January 2004 – elected to academic position of assistant professor for the field humanistic sciences. Member of editorial board of European Herald and Relations (formerly “The Bridge literary magazine”). Her essays and scientific papers are oriented towards linguistic and theoretical analysis and genealogical systematisation of contemporary Croatian poetry, prose and discourse forms.
